We love wooden toys, in this house.
At least, Remy Sr. and I do. Remy Jr. doesn’t exactly have a say in the matter, but I’d venture to say that he’s pretty fond of them, too.
I mentioned before how much Remy loves to be on the floor, all stretched out. Having a lovely, brightly-colored (and wooden!) gym to gaze at just makes the experience that much better. It even inspired me to break out my rainbow quilt, which used to hang on the wall of my room when I was a preschooler.
Remy will now spend up to half an hour looking at it, kicking his legs and waving his arms, and talking (loudly!) to the hanging toys. He can’t do much longer than that, though.
Bright colors do that to me, too, after a while.

Half an hour, that’s quite an attention span! Most of my middle schoolers don’t get even close to that!
