father’s day, 2019

My dad’s name is Daddy, because he works.
His age is SO BIG. And so tall!
What do you and Daddy have that’s the same? He’s in no kinda place.*
My dad’s job is
Daddy’s job…he can go back and he can work.
It makes me happy when my dad
gets lunch.
My dad is strong
because he’s kinda big.
My dad is nicest when
we’re eating at the fire.
For fun, my dad likes to
mow the grass.

*I don’t understand this one, but that’s what she said.

anselm, age 5

My dad’s name is Dad.
He is 98 years old.
What do you and Daddy have that’s the same? I’m almost taller than him. He’s like…this. And I’m like…this. (raises hands to show height)
My dad’s job is to WORK. Fix stuff!
It makes me happy when my dad works. Because it’s so fun getting our house fixed again.
My dad is strong when he WORKS. He gets stronger and that’s good for your muscles. It’s good for your soul.
My dad is nicest when he WORKS.
For fun, my dad likes to WORK.

My dad’s name is Jeremy.
How old is he? I don’t remember.
My dad and I have the same face.
My dad’s job is to work for Adthrive.
It makes me happy when my dad plays with me.
My dad is strong when he exercises.
My dad is nicest when he lets us buy stuff.
For fun, my dad likes to play with us.

ephraim, age 8

My dad’s name is Jeremy.
He is 38 years old.*
My dad and I have the same hair, or eyes.
My dad’s job is Adthrive.
It makes me happy when my dad plays video games with us.
My dad is strongest when he works to make something.
My dad is nicest when he…He’s nice to me all the time. Except when I get in trouble.
For fun, my dad likes to play video games, or go play with us.

*original answer was 33, but he fretted so over not knowing the right answer that he wouldn’t answer the other questions, so I finally told him.
