Aurick Virgil turned eleven months on the 7th of September.
That was almost two months ago–I am dreadfully behind, but rather than trying to skip this, I want there to be some kind of record. At the time Aurick turned seven months, I was beginning to be sick with Eighth Kransling. And I kept putting the update off and off and off, until here I am, trying to catch up when he’s turning thirteen months tomorrow.

I am trying to remember the main points of his eleventh month. He had no teeth–I can tell you that. We had gotten a high chair, and he loved to sit in it and watch everybody. He adored the Johnny-Jump-Up, but only if someone was nearby so he could show off his jumping and spinning skills. He would not jump alone.
Since he still wasn’t mobile at all, he would spend a lot of time with me hanging out on our bed. I would put some toys on the bed, and he would sit and play with them quietly while I lay next to him. He began to be interested in blocks and stacking blocks. He couldn’t ever get more than two to stack together, but he would try over and over and over to get more than two to stay put.
It was so funny to have another baby come so close to their first birthday with no teeth. Elvie is the other one who followed this trend–she was actually past her first birthday before any teeth came in! Aurick finally had some poke through very close to twelve months, but at eleven months he was still as toothless as ever. This didn’t slow him down too much, though–he still loved to eat. His favorites are oatmeal and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He also loves scrambled eggs and, of course, toast with jam.
